User-Defined Specifications
ATOMIC UDS (User-Defined Specifications) — allows companies to define and maintain equipment/process specifications to suit their particular data needs (it’s like having a version of Microsoft Access™ on your System i machine). Users establish and format information necessary to complete a product or operation then associate it with scheduled work orders to provide on-line access to spec data.

Note: This video depicts the “green screen” version of ATOMIC (version 3.5 and prior).
Check back this summer for a video preview to the browser-based ATOMIC version 4.0 for Valence.
GREAT CUSTOM FEATURES
- NEW! Quality Control Module for UDS allows users to define custom templates for Q/C information; Can be set to force compliance with established sampling rules (i.e., operator must take measurements after x hours of machine time or after x quantity produced)
- Define spec data that doesn't have a logical home in the standard product master screen, such as product dimensions, color, machine settings, etc.
- Set up custom edit-checks to ensure the spec data is entered correctly
- Define custom tools that can impact work order ready/not ready status in the SF module
- Specs can be associated with products in the product master as well as non-conventional items defined elsewhere
- Machine operators can view key elements of the spec on their schedule or view/print the entire spec
- Spec data can be validated against product master or other files
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- System i or AS/400 at V4R4 or higher and RPG compiler
- PRMS version 8.4 or higher or BPCS version 4.05CD
- A reasonable amount of disk space for ATOMIC program objects and data files (200MB min.)
- AS/400 hardware must be able to accommodate a significant increase in interactive processor load (depending on modules implemented and number of workstations added)
