Our Web Portal provides your customers with an unprecedented level of detail regarding the orders they’ve placed with your company. ATOMIC Web Portal runs native on your AS/400 and is typically set up as an “order inquiry” link on your company’s web site. Authorized customers may use this link to sign in and view order status information they’d otherwise have to call to retrieve.

Like typical web-enabled order inquiry screens, ATOMIC Web Portal allows your customers to see all the pertinent order entry details you’d expect, such as purchase order number, product number, scheduled ship date, quantity ordered, quantity shipped, etc. This function offers your customers the “comfort” of being able to confirm their purchase orders have been acknowledged and entered correctly into your PRMS system.

But for make-to-order environments, the Web Portal can take it a big step further! In addition to standard order entry information, select customers may view real-time shop floor details regarding the specific work orders filling their customer orders. In fact, a customer that happens to inquire on an order that is currently in production can actually see up-to-the-minute production totals for the work order — in real time!

The ATOMIC Web Portal can greatly enhance your image as a cutting-edge supplier:

• Allows your customers to see standard customer order information 24 hours a day — no need to call customer service!
• For shipped orders, shows the actual carrier name and tracking number assigned to each shipment (when used in conjunction with the ATOMIC RF module), as well as the invoice number
• For make-to-order environments with the ATOMIC SF module installed, Web Portal can be configured to show real-time shop floor information including any of the following (you control the level of detail customers can see):
  • Work order number
  • Work order due date
  • Schedule information
  • Quantity completed
  • Expected completion date (as calculated by ATOMIC)

With ATOMIC Web Portal, the entire life cycle of every customer order, from the point of order entry through production and shipping, is visible right over the Internet. By completely "closing the loop" on order visibility, your customers will never doubt that you're working to fill their orders properly.

Finally, ATOMIC Web Portal is fast! Service programs written in RPG IV generate HTML screens on the fly and serve them through the AS/400’s built-in HTTP server. There’s no need for WebSphere or the added cost and complexity of an external server.
