Requirements
ATOMIC modules have the following hardware and software requirements. Although CNX does not sell or support hardware, we can assess hardware needs, make specific vendor recommendations and include hardware installation oversight as part of an overall ATOMIC implementation plan.
All Modules
- System i or AS/400 at V4R4 or higher and RPG compiler
- PRMS version 8.4 or higher or BPCS version 4.05CD
- A reasonable amount of disk space for ATOMIC program objects and data files (200MB minimum)
- AS/400 hardware must be able to accommodate a significant increase in interactive processor load (depending on modules implemented and number of workstations added)
Shop Floor Module
- 5250 terminals (or thin client/network station equivalent) for each machine or work center on the production floor
- All related wiring and networking infrastructure necessary to support these additional terminals
RF INVENTORY CONTROL MODULE
- Thermal transfer printers (i.e., Zebra 140Xi). Quantity would be determined during needs assessment phase
- RF Equipment (note: there is a two month lead-time on equipment installation)
- Radio infrastructure necessary to cover facility, including controller(s) and RF access point(s)
- RF terminals and hand-held laser scanners, one per active fork lift, with 5250 emulation capability and minimum display size of 8 lines by 40 characters
NOTE: Since the RF module uses 5250 emulation, its programs can also function on full-sized 5250 terminals, PCs, etc.
Label Management
- Thermal transfer printers (i.e., Zebra 140Xi). Quantity would be determined during needs assessment phase
