Nitro App Builder.

CNX believes in a user interface-first approach to app design. With Nitro App Builder, anyone can quickly build IBM i apps featuring a truly modern, responsive interface that looks great and delivers a runtime experience optimized for desktops, laptops and mobile devices. Our low-code app builder is easy to learn and requires no coding or UI experience.

Experienced developers can use Nitro App Builder to handle low-code app development so they can work faster while focusing on high-code, enterprise-specific functionality. Nitro App Builder builds the foundation automatically. Developers can then spend their valuable time adding manual code in strategic places (if necessary) to create a truly unique application.

  • Learn how to use Nitro App Builder and start creating useful apps on the same day.

  • Reduce total coding requirements by up to 80 percent.

  • Create fully functional queries and dynamic dashboard apps with no programming.

  • Use pre-built widgets to incorporate any combination of full-color charts, lists, forms, maps and other components, with specified methods for users to filter and navigate the information they need.

  • Enable users to download data to Excel, print to PDF, and even add or update data as appropriate.

  • Automatically create a responsive user interface that adapts seamlessly to the requirements of desktop, laptop, tablet and smartphone screens.

  • Save time and money by building useful apps quickly, and by creating quick mockups and shortening the development cycle for high-code apps.

Nitro Runner.

At runtime, Nitro Runner interprets and runs apps built in Nitro App Builder side-by-side with JavaScript-coded apps in the Valence Portal. If the user is on a phone or tablet, Nitro Runner provides a responsive mobile experience.

For example, widgets that would normally be displayed side-by-side could be converted into a carousel, and toolbars could be converted into slide-out panels using all-mobile components. Responsive design reinforces the interactions that users have come to expect on each device they use.
